Privacy
Most privacy policies are written by lawyers. This isn't one.
I built Clarity as a solo developer — partly for myself, partly to help other people think more clearly. Your conversations are personal. Here's exactly what happens to them, in plain English.
What gets stored
Your conversations, decisions, and thought maps are saved in our database (Supabase, US East), encrypted at rest. We save them because that's the whole point — so you can pick up where you left off and watch your thinking evolve over time.
Who can see your data
- You — through your own account.
- Other users — cannot. Row-level security in the database prevents user-to-user data access. Your thoughts are yours alone in the app.
- Me (the developer)— I have administrative database access. I won't pretend it's technically impossible for me to see what's there.
But I have no interest in reading your personal messages.I built this so people could think more clearly without worrying about being judged. Reading your private reflections would betray that. I don't do it, I won't do it, and I don't have any system or workflow that surfaces your content to me.
What Anthropic sees
The AI responses come from Anthropic's API (Claude Haiku 4.5). Per Anthropic's policy, customer data sent through the API is not used to train Claude. Your messages are processed in-memory and discarded.
If you bring your own Anthropic key (the free BYOK option), your AI calls go through your Anthropic account — not mine. That reduces your data exposure one more level.
What we do NOT do
- We do not sell data to third parties
- We do not run analytics on conversation content
- We do not share data with advertisers — there are no advertisers
- We do not train any AI model on your conversations
- We do not log your messages to external services
What we DO collect
- Page views (Vercel Analytics) — visitor counts, page paths, country, device type. No personally identifying info.
- Performance metrics (Vercel Speed Insights) — page load timings only.
- Billing data (Stripe) — payment information, processed by Stripe directly. We never see your card details.
- Account basics — email, plan, message counts. Used to run your account.
Delete your data anytime
Email me at peptobizm0@gmail.com and I'll wipe your account and all associated data within 7 days. No questions asked, no "wait, are you sure?" sequences.
If something changes
If I ever change any of this — sell the project, add a partner, integrate a new third party — I'll email every user before it takes effect. You'll always have time to delete your data if you don't like the direction.
